The Mares X-Wing freediving fin system allows you to choose your preference of blade material from polypropylene, fiberglass, or carbon fiber. The blade is interchangeable with the foot pocket
The key features of the X-Wing fin foot pocket are:
• Foot pocket without side profiles
• Extremely light - size 42-43, 270g of weight
• Pre-shaped 30° angle • Ultra-reactive ergonomic foot pocket made of two materials, designed to optimally transmit propelling power to the blade and optimize efforts by improving performance
• The sole is more rigid to avoid liner deformation caused by thrust of the blade and rotation on the longitudinal axis
• Designed to be worn also without socks
X-Wing short
The X-Wing Short freediving fins are made using complex injection printing. This allows them to have varied thickness, just like carbon and fiberglass fins. It also makes the fins soft and elastic in the right places.
The range includes fins and fin blades for all uses and physical characteristics of the user, from an advanced freediver to a spearfisher, to softer fins.
The fin blades are paired with the X-Wing Colored Foot Pockets of the same color, made from soft, comfortable material.
All fin blades have a 30° inclination to transform the fin in to a natural extension of the leg and optimize performance, reducing fatigue when swimming on the surface.
Technical features:
• A tapered, high-quality elastomer blade for excellent agility and performance
• The blade is 180 mm wide and 613 mm long
• A V-tip blade to prevent slipping from side to side while kicking
• Pink and blue versions have a 25% softer blade versus X-Wing Pro fins
• The pink or blue versions are the best choice for extended surface swimming, freediving and lightweight divers, whereas the olive-green version is advised for extended surface swimming and spearfishing
• There is a 30° blade inclination relative to the foot pocket
• An interchangeable fin blade
• Also designed to be worn without neoprene socks
• A performance engineered foot pocket delivers perfect power transmission from foot to blade with a soft material
X-Wing Pro
The X-Wing Pro freediving fins have a blade width of 19.0cm and a length of 71.3cm .
The key features of theX-Wing Pro freediving fins are:
• Tapered high-quality elastomer blade facilitates excellent agility and performance
• Performance engineered foot pocket delivers perfect power transmission from foot to blade
• V-tip to prevent slipping from side to side while kicking
• The blade is 190 mm wide and 713 mm long
• 30° blade inclination relative to the foot pocket
• The x-wing foot pocket is designed to be worn also without neoprene socks
• Interchangeable blade construction
X-Wing Fiber
The Mares X-Wing Fiber will be your ultimate freediving fins. These fins are meticulously crafted using a high-pressure process, ensuring precision, consistency and unbeatable durability.
The fiberglass blades, infused with a proprietary resin, are exceptionally responsive, lightweight and high-performing. They are designed with variable thickness and a parabolic flexion, offering the perfect blend of power and comfort.
The fin blades are 195mm wide and 670mm long, making them ideal for a medium kick frequency. The innovative manufacturing process ensures maximum performance while reducing muscle fatigue during extended use.
With variable side ribs optimizing channel thrust and flex, these fins adapt to your every move underwater. Available in both soft and medium strengths to suit your weight, the X-Wing Fiber fins feature an indigo polygon blade and a 30° blade inclination relative to the foot pocket.
The X-Wing foot pocket is designed for use with or without neoprene socks, providing flexibility and convenience. The interchangeable blade construction also adds versatility to your freediving gear.
• Blade produced with pre-impregnated fiberglass layers
• Variable blade thickness and high-performing parabolic flexion
• The blade is 195 mm wide and 670 mm long
• High-quality manufacturing process
• Variable side ribs support and optimize channel thrust and flex
• Available with a soft or medium strength blade depending to the user’s weight
• Longer fins, adapted to medium kick frequency
• Indigo polygon blade
• 30° blade inclination relative to the foot pocket
• The X-Wing foot pocket is also designed to be worn without neoprene socks
• Interchangeable blade construction
X-Wing C-S
The X-Wing C-S freediving fins have 11 layers of 100% carbon placed in different directions and with different thickness, pressed in a mold to make a reactive, resistant product. Their small dimensions make them perfect for spearfishers and freedivers seeking greater agility in their movement.
The fin blade is inclined at 30° to make it a natural extension of the tibia. Pair it with the X-Wing Colored Foot Pocket in olive green for perfect camouflage.
Technical features:
• The blade is produced with 100% pre-impregnated carbon to ensure high quality
• 3k woven carbon fibers with high resistance qualities, woven at 0 and 90°
• Fibers cross over each other few times, increasing the responsiveness of the blade
• Variable blade thickness and high-performing parabolic flexion
• The blade is 185 mm wide and 600 mm long
• Fins made using a high-quality manufacturing process
• Variable side ribs support and optimized channel thrust and flex
• Available with a soft or medium strength blade depending on the user’s weight
• Medium length fins adapted to every kick frequency
• There is a 30° blade inclination relative to the foot pocket
• Designed to be worn also without a neoprene sock
• An interchangeable blade construction
X-Wing C Evo
The X-Wing C-Evo freediving fins were created using an aluminum mold that leads to exceptional results in terms of resistance, reactivity and an absence of aesthetic defects. The fin is exposed to a pressure of around 6kg per cm², and the heating process involves rapidly increasing the temperature to obtain exceptional characteristics.
12 layers of T700 carbon fibers are used in the fin blade. The fibers are woven unidirectionally to avoid side flection and slipping. The finish is the same as that used in the latest regatta boats, reducing friction and turbulence.
The fin blade was designed especially for freediving and deep spearfishing, and its shape creates optimum thrust, taking advantage of even the end of the fin. The fin is at a 30° inclination, making the fin a natural extension of the tibia.
The fin blade is paired with the X-Wing Colored Foot Pocket in blue, making it even more comfortable
Technical features:
• The blade is produced with 100% pre-impregnated carbon to ensure high quality and process repeatability
• Made in T700 carbon with fibers woven unidirectionally to reduce side flection
• Thanks to the fibers crossing over each other few times, the responsiveness of the blade is increased
• Variable blade thickness and high-performing parabolic flexion
• The blade is 190 mm wide and 750 mm long
• Fins made using a high-quality manufacturing process
• Variable side ribs support and optimize channel thrust and flex
• Available with a soft or medium strength blade depending on the user’s weight
