Snorkelling
Do you want to have a fun and easy adventure in the water?
A snorkelling experience allows you to see below without full SCUBA gear! No experience is required. Snorkelling is a great way to see marine life in Jersey and watch the fish go about their lives with minimal disturbance. Snorkelling is perfect for families and kids, the minimum age is 8 years old.
Your Snorkel experience will be at Bouley Bay or Portlet at the snorkel trails set up by Blue Marine charity. Check out some of what Jersey snorkel trails offer here
what you’ll learn
You will learn how to use a mask, snorkel, and fins. How to breathe and swim with a snorkel, and now to safely perform a duck dive! You will be guided by one of our experienced guides.
equipment you’ll use
You’ll use a mask and snorkel, fins, and a wetsuit during your snorkelling experience. All equipment is included, but if you have your own you may use it. You have the option of buying a mask and snorkel to keep after the experience.

You can book online below, if these dates don’t suit you or you have a large group then please contact us and we will fit you in.

corporate sessions
We offer corporate and group sessions upon request. When a corporate session is made we donate 10 % of your booking back to Blue Marine which goes directly back to the ocean.

Discover snorkelling is for complete beginners, no previous experience is needed. Being comfortable in the water helps but you don’t need to be a good swimmer.

You will use a mask, snorkel, fins and a wetsuit. We can provide all the equipment, but if you have some of your own gear already then you may use it. You can buy a mask and snorkel pack to keep if you like.

The whole experience lasts around 1.5 hours. This includes signing waivers, changing, briefing and in water time. Generally, we are in the water for 1hr, though your instructor may decide to shorten this time for safety.

Yes it is! The minimum age is 10 years old for diving in the sea, and 8 years old for diving in the pool.
Do I need to stay with my child? No you don't have to but you can stay and watch if you like, you will need to countersign forms for under 18s.
