The Emergency First Response course is a basic CPR and first aid course that focuses on primary and secondary care.

Who’s this course for?

Take this course if you want to:

Learn CPR.

Be ready to respond in an emergency.

Update your first aid skills if you’ve previously done a first aid course.

What you’ll learn

You’ll start with some elearning. Online training makes it easy to fit a CPR and first aid course into a busy schedule. Watch videos of different first aid techniques and learn what steps to take in an emergency. Study online or offline, using a computer or mobile device.

Then, in the practical session you will learn how to respond to breathing and non-breathing victims, choking, bleeding, spinal injuries and more. Mixed with realistic scenarios to practise your skills.

The course takes around 5-6 hours and is conducted at Bouley Bay, but can be done at other locations for groups.

This course meets the CPR/First aid training requirement of the Rescue Diver course.
